Iranian Tissue Product Company (Regen Allograft) to Participate in the 25th International Iranian Periodontology Congress (Perio 1405)

Table of contents
The 25th International Iranian Periodontology Congress (Perio 1405), scheduled to take place from October 20 to 23, 2026 (28 Mehr to 1 Aban 1405), at Milad Tower in Tehran, will bring to professionals and experts in periodontology and related fields. Alongside this scientific event, Iranian Tissue Product Company (Regen Allograft), one of Iran’s pioneers in the production of human allografts, will participate in the congress. Dr. Mehdi Ekhlasmand, a periodontist and the company’s scientific advisor, will also lead a specialized workshop entitled “Update in Socket Management: Back to Biology” in Lark Hall.
Iranian Allografts: From University Research to Clinical Practice
Iranian Tissue Product Company was established in 2011 through the collaboration of faculty members from Tehran University of Medical Sciences. From its inception, the company has focused on the production of human allografts—biological tissues processed under controlled, sterile conditions for use as scaffolds in hard and soft tissue regeneration.
Today, the company’s products are used across a range of clinical fields, including dentistry, oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthopedics, and reconstructive surgery.
What distinguishes Iranian Tissue Product Company is its commitment to international quality standards, including the protocols of the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB) and ISO 13485:2016. Its quality control procedures include serological testing, manufacturing in specialized cleanrooms, and gamma irradiation sterilization.
Soft Derm: An Alternative to Connective Tissue Grafting
One of the company’s flagship dental products is Soft Derm, a collagen matrix derived from the dermal layer of human skin. It is designed as an alternative to autogenous connective tissue grafting.
Soft Derm offers several features, including rapid angiogenesis, short rehydration time, and the ability to remain exposed by 1–3 mm, making it suitable for soft tissue thickening and contour correction.
The product was developed by Iranian Tissue Product Company at the suggestion of Dr. Mehdi Ekhlasmand.
“Update in Socket Management: Back to Biology” Workshop
The scientific workshop “Update in Socket Management: Back to Biology” will focus on contemporary approaches to post-extraction socket management and the importance of returning to biological principles in tissue preservation and regeneration.
During the workshop, Dr. Mehdi Ekhlasmand will discuss biological principles, clinical considerations, and updated approaches to dental socket management. By emphasizing an understanding of
the natural processes involved in tissue healing, this approach can support more informed clinical decision-making in implant therapy and help clinicians pursue optimal clinical outcomes.
Why Does This Participation Matter?
The participation of domestic knowledge-based companies in specialized scientific congresses goes beyond exhibiting products. Such events provide clinicians with an opportunity to explore locally manufactured products firsthand, share clinical feedback, and contribute to the development of the next generation of regenerative solutions.
At a time when the cost of imported products can place a significant financial burden on many patients, the domestic production of allografts that meet established quality standards can help expand access to advanced regenerative treatments.
Iranian Tissue Product Company offers its products at prices considerably lower than those of international competitors, making them a potentially more accessible option for clinicians and patients.
Clinical Practice, Not Just Exhibition
For Iranian Tissue Product Company, Perio 1405 is more than an exhibition. Dr. Ekhlasmand’s workshop reflects the company’s approach to connecting product development with professional education and knowledge transfer.
For dental professionals seeking evidence-based approaches to tissue regeneration, the combination of locally manufactured Iranian allografts and specialized educational workshops offers an opportunity to explore solutions that are more accessible while supported by scientific and clinical expertise.
